When this writer accused Georgia of starting its war with Russia last year, he was widely criticized for such a heretical assertion.  According to US/Georgian propaganda, Georgia was an innocent victim of Russia beastliness.
Now, a careful EU investigation has concluded that while both nations bear a share of the blame, it was Georgia's foolish government that started the war by attacking breakaway South Ossetia.   This column has repeatedly questioned the wisdom and mental clarity of Georgia's government and sees no reason to change its view after the stinging EU report.
